AT THE PARK
The Park, Carrickmines has been master planned to house an integrated mix of complementary businesses which, together provides an unrivalled retail offering. Q1 and Q2 of the retail element and premium on-site amenities have proven a resounding success.
Set in natural surroundings with a stunning backdrop of the Dublin Mountains, this location has been transformed into a state of the art shopping and business park that employs almost 2,400 people. Trading since summer 2005, the popular Q1 & Q2 of the scheme has attracted premium retailers. The development of the high quality office buildings within the Park further enhances the location as a business hub.
Central to the project is Q3 which proposes the inclusion of a pedestrianised street environment incorporating a mix of retail and fashion outlets alongside restaurants, family leisure and street cafes which will create a new social and cultural district for Carrickmines. The proposal also includes a grocery supermarket, a multi-screen cinema and a children’s leisure facility.
A stunning new public parkland of over 3 acres, incorporating a children’s playground, will be created along with large open plazas designed to accommodate a range of entertainment events as well as providing a meeting place and focal point for the scheme. Together with the leisure and restaurant offerings this will serve to introduce an evening economy to the Carrickmines area which will no doubt add vitality to The Park and ensure it remains a great place to shop and work.
Vastly improved linkages with the Ballyogan Road, buses and the nearby Luas Green Line will enhance accessibility to The Park, which is located just off Junction 15 of the M50. As one of the remaining district / proposed neighbourhood centre zoned landbanks on the southern corridor of the M50, the further development of The Park, Carrickmines will be key to the next stage of development of South County Dublin.
